Na quinta-feira (13/10), a Embaixadora de Bangladesh 🇧🇩 no Brasil 🇧🇷, Sadia Faizunnesa, se encontrou com a Diretora e Representante da UNESCO no Brasil, Sra. Marlova Jovchelovitch Noleto 🇺🇳. Durante a reunião, elas discutiram a realização conjunta do Dia Internacional da Língua Materna, em 21 de fevereiro de 2023.
Em 21 de fevereiro de 1952, os bengaleses (o então Paquistão Oriental) sacrificaram suas vidas para proteger sua língua materna – Bangla, e em sua homenagem, a UNESCO reconheceu o dia 21 de fevereiro como o Dia Internacional da Língua Materna, para mostrar respeito a todas as línguas do mundo. Bangladesh 🇧🇩 e UNESCO observam em conjunto este dia especial para promover o multilinguismo.
On Thursday (13/10), Ambassador Sadia Faizunnesa of Bangladesh 🇧🇩 to Brazil 🇧🇷 met the Director and Representative of UNESCO in Brazil, Ms. Marlova Jovchelovitch Noleto 🇺🇳. During the meeting, they discussed the joint observation of the International Mother Language Day, 21st February, 2023.
On 21st February 1952, Bangladeshis ( the then East Pakistan) sacrificed their lives to protect their mother language – Bangla, and in their honour, UNESCO recognized the 21st of February as the International Mother Language Day, to show respect to all languages of the world. Bangladesh 🇧🇩 and UNESCO jointly observe this special day to promote multilingualism.
