The Portuguese edition of the «Era of Independence» by President Nazarbayev presented in Brasília

 

BRASILIA,– The Embassy of Kazakhstan to Brazil and the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil presented the Portuguese edition of the book “The Era of Independence” by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev that tells about the stages of formation and development of Kazakhstan and its role in the international arena. The event was attended by members of the National Congress – head of the “Brazil-Kazkahstan” Parliamentary Friendship group senator Chico Rodrigues and senator Cristovam Buarque,
Secretary for Communications and Culture of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry Ambassador Marcia Donner, Director of the Russia and Central Asia Department of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry Ambassador Ary Quintella, President of the Alexander de Gusmão Foundation Ambassador Roberto Goidanich, Vice-Director of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency Ambassador Demetrio Bueno Carvalho, as well as heads of diplomatic representations accredited in Brasilia, academic and business circles, public figures and media representatives. Secretary for Communications and Culture Ambassador Marcia Donner commended the translation into Portuguese of the book by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, whose life and work are so intertwined with the history and the making of modern Kazakhstan.

“As Ambassador to Kazakhstan, I experienced first-hand achievements, growth and development of the Kazakhstan society – admirable and proud people, with its beautiful traditions. I hope that this book may contribute to improving the mutual knowledge and friendship between Brazil and Kazakhstan”, – said the Brazilian diplomat. Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kairat Sarzhanov noted that

“The Era of Independence” became the first Kazakhstan book translated into Portuguese. “The work of the head of State not only reveals unknown facts of modern history of Kazakhstan, but also reflects the character of the President, his decisive, pragmatic and far-sighted policy in building and managing modern statehood”,

 Ambassador stated. In his speech, the Director of the Department of Russia and Central Asia Ambassador Ary Quintella focused on the fact that Kazakhstan occupies a special position in the international arena. “The fact that this event is taking place here, at the auditorium of FUNAG, honors the foundation’s long-standing commitment to develop the study of a wide range of topics in the field of foreign affairs This book in Portuguese is sure to reach a wider audience and foster discussions on Kazakhstan among academics in our country”, – A.Quintella added. The Head of the International Department of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Mr. Alkey Margulanuly expressed gratitude to the guests of the event for their interest in studying Kazakhstan’s history and underlined that the book of the founder of modern Kazakh statehood will allow them to learn more about the stages of the development of independent Kazakhstan. “Its uniqueness is that it is focused on a wide coverage”, – Foundation’s representative noted. During the event the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy opened the photo exhibition “Unknown Kazakhstan”, as well as held the concert by talented Kazakhstan musician, young composer Almat Saizhan, who performed charming melodies of the Kazakh Steppe.The book  “The Era of Independence” in Portuguese was  ublished by the well-known Brazilian publishing house “Nova Alexandria”.
